A friend long dismissed organic food as “crazy granola hippie stuff”. Then he saw a presentation by a doctor about the benefits of eating organic.

His view of organic completely changed.

This has nothing to do with the merits of organic food, but rather my friend’s change of opinion.

The information hadn’t changed. My friend had heard the same message before.

The change was in the framing of the message. An MD in a nice suit was quite different from the usual organic spokesman he had encountered before. When the message came from someone he respected, he listened with new ears, and accepted it.

If your message isn’t being recieved, perhaps all that is needed is a different framing or new messenger.
